Originally two cottages converted to a pub in about 1858 and one of the oldest drinking establishments in Leytonstone Village Conservation Area. A warm and welcoming pub with very efficient bar staff, it is named after the brigantine in which the first landlord made his only sea voyage, between Hartlepool and India. The public bar has a small serving hatch and the saloon has a long single bar with five handpumps. Thai Food and Pizza are available .though they operate differing hours. Local CAMRA branch pub of the year 2024. Dogs are allowed outside only.
