CHADWELL HEATH, HARROW (Liana Properties UK Ltd), Billet Road / Rose Lane, RM6 5PT. The pub is likely to have closed during Covid. Trust Inns put it on the market in 2021 and a buyer was found. There has been two rejected planning applications. The pub is currently listed for lease but there is also marketing for the sale of the freehold for c.£2m.

CHADWELL HEATH, WHITE HORSE (M&B), 118 High Road, RM6 6NU. Closed in Aug 2017 - Planning permission for change of use granted on Sept 16th 2019 for three blocks of flats on the pub's car park, garden & in part of the pub, but retaining the front of the pub. The pub suffered major fire damage on 20th September 2020. A new planning app was submitted in 2022 22/01757 for Full planning application for the demolition of the existing buildings, and construction of a residential led mix-used scheme comprising new residential homes (C3 Use Class) together with public house (Public House- Sui Generis), public realm enhancements including hard and soft landscaping and associated access, servicing, cycle parking, and refuse and recycling stores. This was approved in July 2024. Demolition had yet to start in September 2024.

CLAYHALL, TOBY CARVERY WOODFORD GREEN (M&B), 1 Southend Road / Roding Lane North, IG8 8LG. Closed for makeover, reopening 29 January.

COLLIER ROW, 70 LOUNGE, City Pavilion (Downstairs), Collier Row Road, RM5 2BH. Renamed 710 LOUNGE SPORTS BAR. Sports bar in the Rollerbowl.

COLLIER ROW, COLLIER ROW CATHOLIC CLUB Club added to database. Bar open daily with TV, pool and darts. Occasional dances, discos, etc in the Parish Hall. Tbere is a handpump on the bar - it is not known if it is in use.

COLLIER ROW, EL MONO, 322 Collier Row Lane, RM5 3NL. Renamed GRAVITY BAR. Note a licensing condition states "Alcohol shall only be served to anyone purchasing a meal."

CRANHAM, GOLDEN CRANE (Wells & Co), 117 Avon Road, RM14 1RQ. Under new management from late 2023. Does not appear to sell real ale.

DAGENHAM, ADMIRAL VERNON (Stonegate), 141 Broad Street / Morland Road, RM10 9HP. Was Grade II listed in 2022.

DAGENHAM, BARKING RUGBY CLUB, Gale Street, RM9 4TX. Rugby club added to the database. The club has sold real ale from Brentwood in the past. It is currently not known if real ale is available.

DAGENHAM, MAY & BAKER SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB. The M&B Club was formed in 1945 for employees of the May & Baker Chemical works. The current clubhouse was opened in 1978, and facilities were upgraded in 1999. May & Baker itself closed in 2013. The club is open to all however members get a discount on drinks at the bar. An estate pub now transformed by Stonegate into an attractive sports bar under the Craft Union banner, reopened on 11 December 2024 after more than a year's closure. A single room now sweeps round to take in the area that had been the public bar on the western side, with small rooms off to the left for darts and pool. 2 changing real ales available such as Fuller's London Pride and Wychwood Hobgoblin Gold.

The Mary's restaurant food menu is also available in the linked venue. Walk-ins welcome.

W1, PURL, Basement, 50-54 Blandford Street, W1U 7HX. Closed temporarily, reopening soon under another name.

W6, HAMPSHIRE (Heineken), 227 King Street, W6 9JT. Reopened as HAMMERSMITH BELLE, now part of the small London Belle chain and sports their signature red and pink silk roses on the walls and artificial grass on the ceiling. There is a striking black and white chequered floor and much use is made of mirrors and other glass to enhance the lighting. The grand fireplace at the rear survives. The bar accommodates numerous keg beer taps and two ale handpulls, but the latter were not yet in use at date of our visit soon after the pub's soft opening. However, Fuller's London Pride is expected to be on offer by the end of January 2025. There is an extensive food menu with a focus on burgers and, on Sundays, roasts. Breakfast is offered from the 8am opening time until 11.30am, but note that alcohol cannot be served until 10am.
