This small family-run free house is a must-visit location for anyone interested in the history of brewing, especially Bass. It is a treasure-trove of memorabilia, inside and out; understandably, there is a nautical theme too. Licensed in 1772 and called the Centurion until 1815. Rebuilt in 1887.
The pub also does no food, but customers may bring in their own or have it delivered to the pub, including from the Vietnamese restaurant next door and also nearby Turkish and pizza restaurants.
