The site was originally licensed in 1826 and rebuilt in 1862. It was opened out in 2014 to provide a light and airy interior with mixed seating and a raised bar area. Last refurbed in 2023. Modern prints, exposed brickwork, wooden floor. Wheelchair access and disabled toilet. One or two cask ales from the Young's range and a good selection of craft beers. The extensive food offering includes brunch, sandwiches, Porchester Pie and pub favourites, a kids' menu and Sunday roasts. The licence allows sale of alcohol from 10am except Sundays (noon).
