SE20, MITRE (Heineken), 164 Croydon Road, SE20 7YZ. Closed in 2019. Planning permission has now been granted by Bromley Council for conversion of the pub into flats: 23/00267/FULL2

BECKENHAM, MANOR HOUSE (Whelans), 150-156 High Street, BR3 1EA. Re-opened on 22nd September 2023 under a new name ERIN'S as an Austin Whelan pub following a £750,000 makeover. Named after the owner's daughter, the theme is that of a modern Irish pub. Two cask ales are available from Brockley Brewery, which can vary. Keg beers include London micros such as Gipsy Hill, Brixton and Beavertown.

This though is not totally clear as it opens at noon daily and most gigs do not start until 7pm - so maybe you can get in for a drink, but as we say, not clear. Also some of the events are free to attned - check their website. Live music has a curfew of 11pm Mon-Sat and 10pm Sun.

Publican Oisa­n Rogers, Flat Iron founder Charlie Carroll and Ashley Palmer-Watts, the former Fat Duck executive chef, joined forces to open the new pub and restaurant in November 2023. There is home-made bar food including bacon sandwiches, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and cheese and ham hock toasties. Drinks in this freehouse of course include cask ale. Upstairs, there are three dining rooms with a total 150 covers and a wood-ember grill for steaks and seafood. A three-course set-price menu is on offer at both lunch and dinner featuring the likes of prawn and langoustine cocktail, steak and chips and sticky toffee pudding. A rooftop area is set to open in 2024. The venue staff are stated by the owners to be women-led in order to counter the blokiness marring some other pubs.
