A friendly, cottage-style, two-room traditional pub, approached across a large, inviting front terrace area beside the railway bridge (Tudor Road) just to the east of the Hampton railway station. Known locally as the Dip, it has two separate, simply furnished bars, one of them decorated with old photographs of the locality. Home-cooked food is served Tue-Sat until 9pm and Sun until 6pm; afternoon coffee is also provided. The pub is closed on Mondays. Note: The Pub has closed because the licensee Seamus died in April 2024 it will probably reopen once a new licensee is established. The pub is being advertised by the Stonegate Group as a Fixed Term Tenancy (New to market).
