Large spacious landmark pub and later Restaurant/Bar. Its location, next to Hanworth Air Park, made it popular with RAF pilots during WWII. It was also a target for the German air force, the Luftwaffe during the war, and its car park was bombed during the Blitz.

Pub closed July 2025 and reopened as a contemporary bar & restaurant serving Indian and Nepal cuisine.
