This traditional community back street pub is known for its live music nights during the week. There is a back parlour room that leads out onto a covered and heated patio. A narrow front terrace overlooks the street. The first Monday in the month is a music quiz from 9pm with a trivia quiz all other Mondays. The pub now serves Santa Maria pizzas. Sunday lunches served from 1pm. The pub was immediately adjacent to the site of the Grand Junction Brewery which was taken over by William Gomm’s Beehive Brewery in 1877. Later acquired by Fuller's in 1908 and rebuilt in 1928 by Charles Edward Mallows a well known 'arts and crafts' architect. It is raised above road level to avoid flooding by the River Brent during high tides. Reopened on 10th December 2019, after a sympathetic refurbishment.
