See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

This new venue opened its doors for the first time on October 10th, 2022, in premises which were previously occupied by a computer repair and sales shop. It described itself thus: A cafe by day, a microbar by night. Pop in for locally roasted coffee and cake or a cask ale or local gin. The name is taken from a pub which existed in the road in the 19th century, the exact location of which is not known.

The new cafe/bar certainly offers a welcome new addition to the Chatterton Village area, especially for cask ale drinkers.

The venue is rather larger than the limited frontage would indicate, and there is plenty of seating on high benches and chairs. The décor is bold and modern with wooden flooring throughout. It includes a large David Bowie mural. Cask ales are served from a cold room at the rear, with various keg offerings including lager and cider also available.

Alcoholic drinks are served from 12 noon onwards.
