WELLING, LORD KITCHENER (Milton Pubs and Taverns), 21 Wrotham Road, DA16 1LS. Having closed Jan 2019, planning app submitted Aug 2019 to convert to retail with 19 apartments.
NEW MICROPUB WELLING, BOLTHOLE , 12 Falconwood Parade, DA16 2PL. A micropub in a shop parade, in the largely un-pubbed Falconwood Green area, opened in November 2019. Seating is at high tables, wall mounted benches and high stools. Real ales are dispensed by 2 handpumps with several more on gravity dispense from a chilled cellar room. Keg beers and a keg cider, wines and some spirits are also on sale here. Card payments are accepted. A strict over 21s admission policy is operated.

BROMLEY, BROMLEY COMMON SOCIAL & ATHLETIC CLUB, 33 Great Elms Road, BR2 9NF. Real ale spotted in the form of Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter.
FARNBOROUGH, CHANGE OF HORSES (Ei Group), 87 High Street, BR6 7BB. After being closed for most of 2019, the pub reopened under new management in December 2019. Work on the kitchen continues, but food is expected to be available from early February 2020. In addition to the three permanent beers (Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter, Sharp's Doom Bar and Tonbridge Traditional Ale), seasonal ales will occasionally be available.
PRATTS BOTTOM, BULLS HEAD (Star), Rushmore Hill, BR6 7NQ. After a brief reopening over Christmas and New Year, the pub closed again in early January 2020 for further refurbishment. We understand that reopening is expected in mid-February, after which Bromley CAMRA will perform a new survey.

NEW BAR CARSHALTON, CRYER ARTS CENTRE , 39 High Street, SM5 3BB. Formerly the Charles Cryer Theatre, the Cryer Arts Centre ("Charlie's Bar") is now open. Harvey's Sussex Bitter plus two other changing cask ales on hand pump are supplemented by a range of bottled and key keg beers. The bar is usually closed on Mondays.
CROYDON, BABYLON INN, 151 North End, CR0 1TN. Renamed OVERPROOF CROYDON . Formerly a pub (the Railway Bell), these corner premises in west Croydon are now home to a Caribbean cocktail bar since December 2019.

SOUTH CROYDON, VIEW, 188 Selsdon Road, CR2 6PL. Croydon Railway Limited purchased the pub off Punch Taverns Jan 2017. The roof was in the process of being removed when Croydon Council stopped any further demolition work but the pub has been left ever since with scaffolding and a tarpaulin covering the roof.
SUTTON, GRAPES (ex Wetherspoon), 198 High Street, SM1 1NR. Pub owned by West Wicklow Property Four Limited . Planning app submitted Nov 2019:- Extensions to the existing three storey building to create a part three, part four and part five storey building comprising 25 self contained flats including change of use of existing first and second floor and part ground floor of Public House to residential use. This would see the pub lose half of the floor area and outside courtyard.
SUTTON, NEW INN, 16-18 Myrtle Road, SM1 4BX. Already reported closed, planning app approved Nov 2019 for Conversion of existing building to provide two semi-detached dwellings.
NEW BAR SUTTON, TIEMPO LOUNGE (Loungers), 73 High Street, SM1 1DU. Opened in November 2019, Tiempo is one of a family of Lounges across the country. No real ale is served, but the menu says that a large range of lager, ale and cider is available at the bar.
THORNTON HEATH, FLORA SANDES (ex Wetherspoon), Ambassador House Brigstock Road, CR7 7JG. Having closed May 2018, planning was granted to become a gym opening of which has been delayed till at least March 2020.

Drinking spaces have been provided with stools and a ledge for glasses next to both the front and back windows. Also, via a short corridor from the bar is a new (but narrow) Garden Room. The quality and comfort of the furnishings matches this now up-market establishment with food offerings to match. The pub is now principally aimed a diners other than community pub drinkers as in the past so expect drinks to be pricey. Upstairs is a small dining/meeting room (with a real fire place) available for private hire that can accommodate 16 people max. Real ales are Young’s Bitter and St Austell Tribute.

The pub has been restored in splendid Edwardian style with trademark Sam Smith's dark wood and etched glass. There is a downstairs Public Bar and another room upstairs with a bar and restaurant. Two handpumps offer OBB and occasionally another ale, plus the usual range of SS keg beers.

It is in the old BHS building just off Oxford Street, now transformed into what is claimed to be the largest food hall in the UK. Covering 35,000 sq ft over three floors, with over 1,000 covers, the space features eleven independent street-food food traders, four bars, three dedicated events spaces, a roof terrace and an internet TV studio, including a demo kitchen. Craft beers but no real ale. Walk-ins only, no table reservations or group bookings.

NEW BAR W1, KRAFT BEER @ MERCATO METROPOLITANO (Mercato Metropolitano ), 13A North Audley Street, W1K 6ZA. This is a ground-floor beer bar in the spectacularly renovated and re-purposed Grade I listed St. Mark's church in Mayfair (see historic interest section) taken over by Mercato Metropolitano. The space is now split across four floors and joins the growing number of London "street-food and bars" outlets. In the basement there is a wine bar, and a Kraft micro-brewery will open in January 2020. It is intended that the basement will also be used as a local community space to include music classes and performances. On the ground floor there are two bars on the altar space along with street-food outlets and a grocery store selling seasonal produce. In the gallery there are more food outlets and up on the rooftop there is an outside terrace. The food and drink comes from all over the world and in keeping with current trends sustainability is a hot topic here; single-use plastic and industrial or highly processed products all banned. Note that under the terms of the licence alcohol may not be sold before 10am Monday to Saturday or noon on Sunday.

NEW BAR W6, RIVERSIDE STUDIOS , 101 Queen Caroline Street, W6 9BN. Following demolition of the old Riverside Studios and four years of redevelopment, the new Riverside Studios started to open in stages from late 2019. As before there is a theatre, cinema, cafe, bar and a restaurant now run by Sam who used to have a brasserie in Chiswick. It is a charitable community arts centre which now boasts a huge new open foyer typical of modern public architecture, with wall-washers for lighting and completely exposed ceiling ducts. The bar is on the rght-hand side of the ground-floor foyer with an excellent view over the Thames & Hammersmith Bridge, the latter currently in course of being renovated. There is a range of craft beers and high above the bar are two huge black-painted tanks labelled “Meantime brewery fresh” dispensing lager and pale ale. No real ale. The cafe serves seasonal and continental dishes, with locally sourced, fresh ingredients; or the other food option is the Riverside Brasserie. .

The overall 1,700 square foot venue "combines American diner culture with the heritage of London’s railway stations". The taproom offers 16 keg beers and a 30-cover terrace.
