WELLING, DOOR HINGE, 11 Welling High Street, DA16 1TR. Ownership changed in early October 2019 when founding licensee Ray sold to local friends Geoff and Steve as Beyond The Pale Ale Houses Ltd . They intend applying for longer opening hours. Card payments are now accepted.
WELLING, LORD KITCHENER (Lord Kitch Ltd), 21 Wrotham Road, DA16 1LS. The closed Lord Kitchener has now been made subject to an application to develop 19 flats. The application reference is 19/01997/FULM and it covers change of use of the ground floor public house from A4 to retail A1, conversion of the existing first and second floor and alterations including a two storey extension and associated car and cycle parking. It is not clear what fate befell the earlier attempt to achieve Local Listing status. It seems the application has attracted considerable friction in the form of 82 independent objections. The reference with Bexley Council is 19/01997/FULM note this is therefore a Major Development application and its determination date is given as 19 December.

SUTTON, SUTTON UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB , Gander Green Lane, SM1 2EY. Added to the database. Although this is a football club bar, it is open to all. The club bar was refurbished in 2018 and is situated within the heart of the main stand; access is via the main entrance or the players' tunnel. The 4 cask ales come from the Heineken 'stable' and have included Pride, Doom Bar and Tribute. The bar is open 7.30pm-11pm weekdays except Tuesdays (unless there is a match on), 2-11pm Saturdays and on Sundays from 3-5pm when SUFC Ladies are playing at home. On Saturdays the bar opens at 12 noon when SUFC are playing at home

SW3, CHELSEA PENSIONERS' CLUB (--club--), Royal Hospital Road, SW3 4SR. There are three large, comfortable rooms and a "clubby" atmosphere. Regimental plaques and military paintings adorn the walls and there is even a proper pub sign! Although parts of the Royal Hospital (in which the Club stands) are open to the public - and a visit to this Wren-designed complex is recommended - the Club is open only to Chelsea Pensioners and their guests; CPs get discounted prices. Note the unusual (unique?) double-slotted pillar box at the London Gate. Greene King IPA as Pensioners' Bitte and Morland Old Speckled Hen usually available.

NEW PUB W10, BERTIE BLOSSOMS,, 323 Portobello Road, W10 5SY. This is a one-shop-front-wide venue, very close to the corner of Portobello and Golborn roads and opposite a well-known pizza establishment. Formerly the Galicia restaurant, this is now an Ed Sheeran-owned bar & informal eaterie. The food menu veers towards Spanish. On the ground floor, a dividing wall has been knocked down revealing an open (small) kitchen; the first floor is the same save for an area created for “private diningâ€. The downstairs bar area has been extended with a longer bar-top at which there is stool seating. It’s a very small place but there is an intimate atmosphere between the floors as upstairs has a balcony looking down to the ground floor. The venue just about qualifies as a "pub" by CAMRA's broad definition. There are six craft keg lines supplied by Purity, not all their own brand. Note that under-14s are not allowed on the premises.
W12, DAVY'S AT WHITE CITY (Davy's), Units 4&5, Media Centre, 201 Wood Lane, W12 7TU. Already reported closed - became Coco di Mama café.
