A welcoming pub with central bar, sympathetically refurbished in 2016 as a Frontier Pubs outlet but in spring 2017 losing the handpumps from which it had long held LocAle accreditation for its locally brewed cask beers. An attractive local beer range remains, from keg fonts and bottles but, after failed attempts to revive it, cask beer was again abandoned after new tenants took over the pub in late 2025.
