Closed when the landlord died in 2013, sold in 2014 for residential development upstairs, but the developer conceded that a pub will be retained, reopened August 2016 by Market Taverns. In 2025, it became an independent pub. The freeholder is United St Saviours Charity.

The pub was granted ACV status following an application from the Walworth Society. The pub now seems to be popular and doing well. There is also a diverse range of craft keg and bottled beers available, and real ale was re-instated here in 2025. Quiz on Wednesday eve, bingo every other Thursday eve and occasional DJ sessions and bottle shares.
