After 2 years of closure The Greyhound reopened in December 2021. Three regular ales are served plus guests from London Brewing or the Marston's range, depending on the season, but with a guest summer cider. It is a traditional cask ale pub in an historic area dating from 1895 (although a pub has stood on the site since 1676),with a village feel about it. Three drinking areas include one that is wood panelled and used for dining. There is a large TV showing sporting events. There is an extensive view westward from the seats on the pavement outside the pub. There is now a garden in front of the former museum which is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
