A back-street community local opened in the 19th century, and now a Fuller's tenancy serving beers from the brewery's range. The two bars each have their own character. The smaller public-style bar has a dartboard, and the larger saloon bar has a mix of comfortable seating types. Both have large TV screens showing sport. There is a pleasant garden at the rear, with a covered smoking area. There is a quiz every Tuesday; sometimes these are themed quizzes. Other events include family fun days, occasional live music and drag events.
