Two keg taps dispense a changing choice of craft ales and a further two have wines. You can drink on the premises outside under the awning, and for that reason plastic glasses are used. There is a toilet available downstairs.

EC1, BLACKSMITH & THE TOFFEE MAKER (Star (Heineken UK)), 292 St John Street, EC1V 4PA. Reopened and renamed DAME ALICE OWEN who was born 1547 the daughter of an Islington innkeeper. Married three times, first to a Master Brewer, then a Mercer and lastly a Judge, She survived them all and as a rich widow was in the position to help her the most in need of Islington. She established ten almshouses for poor widows and a free school which is still going strong to this day. Five hand pumps - 4 cask ales and a cider. Regular beer is Watney's Pale Ale.

It has gone through a number of renovations over the last decade; the latest incarnation is a welcoming LGBTQ+ pub with a roaring Sunday trade for the Flower Market and a traditional roast dinner. The new owners, Benjamin Todd (former Home & Casita manager) and Stagg & Barber Events (running bars from festivals to Royal Ascot) have brought their twist to the site in the redesign and the new drinks on offer. The beer taps also churn out a number of craft beers (Deviant & Dandy and Goose Island) and a number of cans are available if you want to take advantage of the takeaway license. Extensive gin menu.

It has a hidden patio garden that is currently (in their opinion) one of the best kept secrets in Barnes. However, it closes at 9.30pm Mon-Sat and 8.30pm Sunday. All day Sunday roasts noon to 9.00 pm. Steak night Tuesdays, from 6pm. Wednesday is quiz night and starts at 8pm.

W2, VAGABOND , 6a Sheldon Square, W2 6EZ. Vagabond is a small London wine-bar & wine-tasting chain, but this particular one on the Paddington Basin also has keg beer taps. The kitchen is open for breakfast right through to dinner with seasonal dishes, brunch, fresh juices, teas and coffees. The food offering veers towards tapas, charcuterie and cheese but also with a few more substantial dishes.
