Superb community local with five real ales, extensively-refurbished in spring 2020. A charity quiz is held on Monday evenings, there are frequent darts matches in the public bar and occasional chess evenings. Five handpumps in the saloon bar dispense three regular ales plus up to two guests, one of which may be from Brentwood Brewery while the other is from anywhere. Framed prints of the local area decorate the walls. Outside there is a covered heated smokers' area, a new garden and a patio.
